November 25, 2024
By: Christine Esposito
iBlush Gel is a supplement for those who are affected by alcohol flush reaction—a condition that causes one’s face to flush red after consuming alcohol. The gel is offered in single-use sachets that fit easily into a pocket or wallet, empowering users to conveniently manage symptoms on the go, according to its maker, Los Angeles-based iBlush.
An estimated 40% of East Asian individuals experience alcohol flush reactions, according to the company, which was initially based in Australia and is now expanding to the US market.
The new gel format, which has an orange flavor, blends the effectiveness of iBlush’s original patches with enhanced ease of use, according to the company.
“We developed iBlush Gel to give people a simple, refreshing way to manage alcohol flush reaction without missing a beat,” said Lydia Li, founder of iBlush. “With the new gel format, we’re making it easier than ever for individuals to confidently enjoy social moments while staying comfortable.”
The gel is formulated to be taken 10 minutes before alcohol consumption, providing a proactive approach to alleviate the most common symptoms of alcohol flush reaction, including facial and body redness; increased, heart rate, skin warmth and itchiness, mild breathing challenges and body-wide rash.
